The short version
No accounts, no forms, no analytics, no advertising, no cookies. You can browse every page of this site without giving anything about yourself.
A few technical things still happen when any website is loaded. They're listed below so nothing is hidden.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Techinox, the independent developer who publishes this site (see the legal notice). Contact: thetechinox@gmail.com
Server logs
Like every web server, the server that delivers these pages records basic technical information for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the response code, the referring page and your browser's user agent.
- Why: to deliver the pages, keep the server secure and investigate errors or attacks.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Who sees it: Techinox and the hosting provider, IONOS, which processes it on Techinox's behalf in the EU.
- How long: logs are deleted automatically after 30 days at most, unless they are needed to deal with a specific security incident.
These logs are never used to profile visitors or combined with other data.
Fonts
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Bunny Fonts, a service run by BunnyWay d.o.o. in Slovenia (EU). Your browser connects to their servers to download the font files, which means they receive your IP address for that request. Bunny Fonts states that it doesn't log or store this data and doesn't use cookies.
YouTube videos
The Farmer Toon page has a trailer hosted on YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, and Google Ireland Limited receives your IP address and may store information on your device, as described in Google's privacy policy.
Legal basis: your consent, given by pressing play. If you'd rather not, you can watch the trailer on the Steam store page instead.
Cookies
techinox.dev doesn't set any cookies and doesn't use local storage, tracking pixels or fingerprinting. That's why there's no cookie banner.
Links to other sites
Links to Steam, Discord, Reddit, YouTube or TikTok take you to services with their own privacy policies. Once you're there, their rules apply.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can, at any time:
- ask for a copy of the data held about you (access);
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- have your data deleted (erasure);
- ask for processing to be limited or object to it (restriction, objection);
- receive the data you provided in a reusable format (portability);
- withdraw consent you gave, without affecting what was done before.
Email thetechinox@gmail.com to use any of these rights. You'll get an answer within one month. If you think your rights aren't respected, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France) or to the authority in your own EU country.
Game privacy policies
Playing the games involves other data, explained in each game's own policy:
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date at the top.
