About these terms
Soul Savior is developed and published by Techinox, an independent developer based in France (see the legal notice). Contact: thetechinox@gmail.com
By installing or playing Soul Savior, you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't play the game.
Getting the game
Soul Savior is distributed through Steam. Buying, downloading and refunding the game are handled by Valve under the Steam Subscriber Agreement and the Steam refund policy. Techinox doesn't process any payment for Soul Savior.
Your licence
Techinox gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play Soul Savior for your own entertainment. You don't buy the game itself, only the right to play it.
Making videos and streams with the game is allowed, including for money, under the creator policy.
What you may not do
- Copy, sell, rent or distribute the game or any build of it, outside what Steam allows.
- Extract the game's art, models, music or code to reuse them elsewhere.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the game, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Get around technical protections, or use cheats or exploits to rank on leaderboards or compare runs with others.
- Use the game in a way that breaks the law or harms other people.
Personal mods for single-player use are tolerated as long as you don't distribute the game's files with them.
Demos, playtests and early versions
Demos, playtests and early versions are works in progress. They can contain bugs, may change a lot, and progress from them may not carry over to the final game.
If you send feedback or suggestions, Techinox may use them freely to improve the game, without owing you anything for it.
Third-party services
Some features rely on services run by other companies, such as Steam (achievements, Steam Cloud saves, Family Sharing), Discord or TikTok. Their own terms apply when you use them. If you choose to connect a third-party account, the privacy policy explains what data is involved.
Intellectual property
Soul Savior, its name, logo, characters, art, music, code and all related content belong to Techinox and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of these rights to you.
Updates and availability
Techinox may update Soul Savior to fix bugs, balance gameplay or add content. Some updates may be required to keep playing. Techinox will keep the game playable for players who own it for as long as it is reasonably possible.
Liability
Techinox makes Soul Savior with care but can't promise it will be free of every bug or run on every computer. Check the system requirements on the Steam page before buying.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content under French and EU law, or Techinox's liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct. Outside those cases, Techinox isn't liable for indirect damage such as lost data on your device or lost profits.
Breaking these terms
If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by distributing the game illegally, Techinox may end your licence or take other measures the law allows.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version is published here with a new date. Important changes will also be announced on the Steam page or on Discord.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country.
If there's a problem, please contact Techinox first so it can be solved amicably. If that fails, the competent French courts have jurisdiction, and as a consumer you can also go to the courts where you live.
